Forestis is located on the southern slope of the Plose mountain in Plancios near Bressanone in a densely wooded area, 1,800 m above sea-level.

An ideal position for the freshness of the air, for the almost constant presence of the sun and a mild climate, and for the purity of the spring water. The benefits of this place have a long history and its discovery is due to Alois Hinterregger, Stefan’s father, who is now the owner together with Teresa.

Alois was very impressed by this wooden building totally immersed in the energy of nature and wanted to make it his own. The new generation has given the Hotel its imprint: a linear luxury, the luxury of simplicity, which fits very well with the surrounding environment. The natural materials used for the furnishings are very precious: stone, glass, wood, warm fabrics enhance the contact with the territory.

‘Variety, naturalness and authenticity’ are the keywords of Executive Chef Roland Lamprecht‘s ‘forest cuisine’, whose sources of inspiration are the treasures of the forest (mushrooms, herbs, edible plants and roots) and the best local producers for fruit, vegetables and other herbs. It is a South Tyrolean but modern cuisine with a strong propensity for the natural element, which has its roots in Roland’s profound respect for nature.
