Hotel Saltus

Hotel Saltus is an Eco-Hotel and is located in San Genesio, between the Altopiano del Salto, rich in larch trees, and the Monzoccolo, with its sweet slopes. Created after years of wanderings by the fourth generation of a family of Hoteliers from South Tyrol: Hedwig, Claudia and Nadja, mother and two daughters respectively, the first already clear of her destiny to work with people on vacation; the second, after several journeys of self-discovery animated by the passion of her sister.

The purpose of their activity is to ‘contribute to the common good’, more precisely to personal well-being through the healthy influence of nature. Two linked and inseparable worlds.

Slow is the new cool.

And it is from nature that the materials for the construction of this Green Hotel have been taken: red porphyry stone, clay, larch wood, beeswax to create an essential and original Hotel and ‘timeless rooms’, capable of breathing. As in the loggia del bosco, where ‘not only can you hear and smell the forest, but also you can touch it from your balcony’.

By the same principle of the beneficial effect of nature, all treatments at the Forest Spa – 99% free of chemicals and integrated into the forest – are based on the balance of the four essential elements: fire, water, earth and air. And the aim is to make them a daily routine for our well-being of body, mind and soul.

The same goes for nutrition. We opted for a half-board solution in the restaurant dedicated to guests only – Tschögglbergerhof – where breakfast and dinner are served with a series of fresh and seasonal products supplied by local farmers and producers. The tradition is South Tyrolean but with a vegetarian and vegan menu available and generous dishes of vegetables and fruit.

To obtain the effect of a complete regeneration, a series of activities are offered too, including bathing in the woods, yoga, meditation, hiking and the possibility of horse riding with the wonderful Haflinger horses, typical of this area.

We of Vegan Suite had the opportunity to visit Hotel Saluts and the sensation was of ‘pure beauty and simplicity’, born however from a particular care and from a precise idea of Hospitality.
