Not far from Arzachena in the Cascioni locality there is a luxury Eco Retreat with the same name, which ensures quality and well-being. It is immersed in a fertile estate, in the most luxuriant Sardinia, inhabited by olive trees, myrtles, fruit trees and lots of spontaneous vegetation.
The Cascioni Eco Retreat offers accomodation recalling the ancient rural stone houses, typical of these places, called ‘lu stazzu’. A central body welcomes Guests upon their arrival, where there is also the restaurant room with a stone fireplace and a large mezzanine. Next to the kitchens and around a portico where a lounge bar overlooks the outdoor swimming pool. In the lower floors a cellar where it is possible to taste Vermentini, Cagnulari and Canonau.
A short distance away there are the few but precious suites, each with a different name, its own porch and its own private pool. The materials can be recognized by their naturalness: terracotta, light stone, cork – typical of these areas – and oak. The fabrics are clear and raw: cotton and linen excel.
The common thread of this Eco Retreat is ‘Well Being‘. Following the advice of an expert biologist, it is possible to pick the medicinal and aromatic herbs of the area by oneself and try the Spa treatments based on olive oil, honey, hay, volcanic stone, in the open air or in the middle of the woods. Inside – in the wellness area – you can refresh yourself with the emotional showers, immerse in the Turkish bath, enter the sauna and then dive into the large outdoor pool.
This body care experience continues in the Ulia restaurant and in the tasting of its dishes whose ingredients come directly from the surrounding garden. The Guest can be protagonists: the Executive Chef, expert in natural vegetarian and vegan gourmet cuisine, encourages to choose one’s favorite ingredients to then offer his best creations. The Sardinian tradition is not forgotten but the preference is the simple food of the surrounding countryside, authentic but also very refined.
In the Cascioni Eco Retreat you can tune your rhythms to the slow ones of nature and enjoy every moment of it by being lulled by a snack among the olive trees or a dinner under the stars. You can learn more about Sardinian traditions (weaving, vegetable dyes, cork and ceramic processing) by visiting the nearby historical villages: San Pantaleo, Calangianus, Aggius, Lugosanto, Luras.
Sports enthusiasts can go jogging or biking along the vast Cascioni’s trails or go kayaking through the vast oasis of Saloni.
There are many choices and there is no shortage of proposals to make your stay more enriching: Sardinia is its sea and much more and this is what you experience when you enter the luxury Cascioni Eco Retreat.
‘Every day a new journey’.
