Six Senses Rome: The Temple of Wellness and Sustainability
Six Senses Rome

Date

In the heart of Rome, within the historical Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini, stands Six Senses Rome. The majestic façade overlooking Via del Corso has been expertly restored thanks to the intervention of this well-known chain of luxury hotels & resorts, which has always stood out for its profound appreciation of the beauty and harmony of spaces.

Sustainability is also an extremely important value for Six Senses Rome and for the Six Senses Group as a whole, which – since the opening of its first resort in the 1990s – has been globally committed to reducing the environmental impact of all its hospitality activities through concrete actions, covering energy supply through the use of alternative sources, all-day menu of mostly plant-based meals, and awareness-raising activities and initiatives aimed at improving the lifestyle of the surrounding communities and preserving the health of the territory.

In 2024 Six Senses Rome achieved LEED Gold certification earning the highest possible energy and water efficiency joined by a series of initiatives, planned and shared within the Earth Lab such as the elimination of plastic materials, proper waste management, optimization of water use, and collaboration with the associationI’m not afraid of the wolf, monitoring these wild animals and encouraging their peaceful coexistence with humans.

The holistic approach to Wellness is another key aspect of Six Senses Rome: the Guest is led through a personalized and bespoke journey so that her or his Hotel stay can be transformative and meaningful for her or his overall health state.

For this purpose, both in-house experts – always present within the wellness areas (therapists, yoga teachers, fitness instructors) – and external Visiting Practitioners, top experts in certain areas of wellness who are guests of the hotel for a set period and have their own list of treatments.

A distinctive trait of Six Senses Rome Spa are undoubtedly the Roman baths, a modern interpretation of the ancient Roman baths. It is an hour-long circuit that includes the calidarium, tepidarium and frigidarium pools. A restorative oasis of peace.

The wellness journey include additional iconic treatments such as signature treatments (five treatment rooms are available including one for couples), Wellness Screening, Sound Healing, herbal healing hammam, sleep monitoring, indoor and outdoor yoga classes, biohacking etc.

Among the experiences offered, there is a cozy space – the Alchemy bar – where, under the expert guidance of a team, people learn about the healing power of herbs and can create small beauty products to be used in everyday life.
